What a swell party…
it was with a large turnout (about 100 people), yummy food, fun games, fabulous door prizes, and great music by Zerostar that inspired some to dance. A huge thank you to everyone who helped with ASNA’s annual neighborhood party on July 18, especially Cora Poleki (age 12), our “go to girl,” Mr. Hiro, the Japanese kite maker who turned over $65 in donations to ASNA, John & Trudi Gavin and Genji & Steve LeCler for grocery shopping, collecting the fabulous door prizes and organizing the games, Mark Rosenberg for both providing and manning the grill, Noel Suarez, Richard & Rita Sullivan, Kathy Leszczynski and Steve Rubel and Elaine Filus for their help setting up, Julia Bunn, for leading the cupcake walk, Metropolitan Brewery and our other door prize contributors and EVERYONE who pitched in. You know who you are and we greatly appreciate your support. A new highlight this year was a visit from two of Chicago’s mounted police. Check out the great photos!
