Committee Reports
Social: Linda Wallace reported that the ASNA block party was a success. She would like to thank all of those who volunteered. About 100 people attended and suggestions were solicited for any changes for next year. Suggestions were: closing off the block earlier in the day, more water and less soda, more food, invite the mounted police back, and add recycling bins. Other suggestions were: more activity booths, a crafts table, water ballons, a piñata, dunk tank, petting zoo. Not all suggestions will be feasible, but additional input is welcome at coming meetings. The block party moves back to Winona next year. The annual Howloween costume contest for dogs and their people is set for Saturday, October 31st. Set up is at 11:30 am, registration begins at 12:30 pm, parade and judging begins at 1:30 pm. The location is the same: the SE corner of Carmen and Ravenswood. Ben Hollis will be the MC. It was suggested that we get more donut holes, as they went pretty quickly last year. John moved to approve $1000 for Howloween spending. Ben seconded and the motion passed.
Membership: Membership renewal time. We currently have 36 active ASNA members. Please let Linda Wallace know if new neighbors move into your block so we can arrange a welcome packet with ASNA info.

Julia Bunn announced that some additional native species have been added to the Ravenswood parkway, and was happy to say that a Catbird was recently spotted.
