ASNA Neighborhood Party, Saturday, July 17th
When: Saturday, July 17 3 p.m. to dusk
Where: Winona Street (between Ravenswood and Paulina)
The party block will be closed off at noon so kids can ride bikes and play in the street. Party set up will start at 3. There’ll be a Jumping Jack, face painting for kids, Mr. Hiro the Japanese toy maker and more fun activities for all ages. Schedules permitting, we’ll have visits from a fire truck and Chicago’s mounted police—also, a live band.
As for the food, ASNA will provide hot dogs, hamburgers and a vegetarian option, also soft drinks. You bring a side dish or dessert to share. Games, portable chairs and picnic tables are also welcome.
We’ll also have a raffle with fabulous prizes (Cubs tickets, anyone?) donated by local businesses and generous neighbors. Residents who pay their membership dues before/at the party will get three free raffle tickets.
Please contact ASNA (773-980-6441 or asnacontact@asnachicago.org) if you’d like to help plan or volunteer at the party. All suggestions and help are welcome!
The party is free and all neighborhood residents are welcome, whether or not you belong to ASNA.
Be sure to tell your neighbors. Todos bienvenidos!
