ASNA Board Meeting – Monday, January 9, 2012

1706 W. Carmen Ave. (Noel Suarez). Social hour: 6:30. Meeting: 7 p.m.

Thanks…

to all of you who made our neighborhood a merrier place this holiday season.

ASNA awarded two first place prizes of $50 and two runners up prizes of $25 for the best decorated homes. The winner for best daytime decorations is 1654 W. Carmen (home of Mimi Cabreros) and the winner for best night time decorations is 1665 W. Winona (home of Rich McMurray). Runners up are 1705 W. Carmen (home of Manuel Giron and Rosario Galicia) and 1740 W. Winona (home of Tom & Candy Lonis).

The ASNA carolers were a big hit again at the Bethany Retirement Home. This year we sang on all seven floors—a joyous and moving experience both for us and the folks who live there. A big thanks to Mark and Andy Rosenberg for hosting the pre- and post- Caroling party and to all who lent their voices. Also special thanks to Bryan and Christie Carmody, Julie Demitros and her husband, and Chris Bayard for bringing their little ones. More than 100 pounds of nonperishable food items were contributed by ASNA residents and given to the Care for Real Food Pantry.

A resolution…

If you are reading this and are not yet a member of ASNA, we hope you’ll resolve to join us in 2012. If you are already a member, we hope you’ll volunteer to lend a hand with our social activities, newsletter, parkway maintenance and other activities. ASNA provides many fun opportunities to meet your neighbors and help make our neighborhood a better place. Contact Mark Rosenberg at 773 942-7050 or mark@home123furniture.com/.
